What happened to Cynder?

I remember so long ago when the party was with Ashe/Cynder and I re-read it recently. I guess we are to assume Orcus killed Cynder, but is that what really happened?

So...my thought at the time was that Orcus would kill Cynder and bring him back as some sort of undead dragon. That's still the most likely outcome, but I haven't had time (or a fitting way) to show that and bring undead-Cynder back into the stories. I do not believe that every single secondary character, no matter how cool or fun, must reappear; I use them when it seems right. With hundreds of such secondary characters, it's hard to show what happened to everyone.

Having said that, I do think we'll see Cynder (and Orcus) again. I'm just not yet sure exactly when that will be.

Makes sense, both Cynder and Orcus were major villains at certain points in the campagin, but their story (so far) has ended. They are both enemies that can be brought back at any point, if it fits in the story.
