How many readers?
#1
I was wondering. After all these years, how many people are on your mailing list? Is your number of readers growing? Where are they from? I can't even remember when I came across these stories, but it's years ago, when the first forum was online. Still enjoy getting your stories almost every friday, so keep up the good work!

I started reading these in the 1990s! Someone posted them (zipped up in groups of 10) on a bulletin board back then and I was so happy when I found them on a website ages ago. I even remember sending Thomas a link to the first Lord of the Rings movie trailer. Hahahaha so long ago. I am in Perth, Australia.

I would think this belongs in "The Website" forum rather than "The Author", but the answer is --- as best as I can calculate --- each recent chapter is emailed to 166 recipients and has been downloaded via browser an average of 200 times.

Edit:  the latter is a count of unique IP addresses, of course; approximately two dozen people have downloaded it multiple times.

Woah, that is a lower number then I expected! This has been going on for 20 years now? It's awesome you still enjoy writing after all these years!

Maastricht in the Netherlands here! It's a great place for us old timers, who've played 2nd edition!

In the early 2000's --- before his long hiatus --- the mailing list was over a thousand readers, with at least one on each continent . . . including Antarctica!

Returning to that number is unlikely, due to lower usage of email and the addition of RSS to the website.
