It's been over two years since my last "What's New?" post, and almost a year since my last posted episode. That's unbelievable, especially given my writing work ethic in the past. Why did this happen? It's been an odd mix of personal issues that have dragged out for far too long, and I'll leave it at that.
The more important question, relevant to the stories, is...what comes next? At the moment (episode 1014) Belphanior and most of his crew are at the beginning of a story arc that for some reason has induced massive writer's block for me. It's not that I don't know what is going to happen - I do - but somehow the kicking-off got sidetracked. The fix for this is me isolating myself for a few days, turning off my cell phones (personal and work) and really focusing on writing. It will call upon all my skills/experience as a writer to break through this blockage, but I know I am capable of doing it.
After that, there's a second story arc that's also been in limbo, and needs to be resolved: Rillen, Halbarad, Peyote on the island of no magic. If/when I can break through that blockage too, then I'll be pretty happy about where the characters stand in regards to my future plans for them and their stories. I've got enough ideas and such for several hundred stories, I just need to get past this writing block on these two story arcs.
