I am sick of hearing about Jill Carroll, her captivity, and her release. The fact is, she was a naive, idealistic American who went to a place she shouldn't have and poked her nose where it didn't belong...and she almost got killed for her efforts. She is alive today for one reason: her captors decided to let her go. It's that simple. I've said it before: there are places in this world that are dangerous for each of us, and a wise person will realize this and let it override any other thoughts.
