Isn't it odd how you never appreciate normal existence (i.e. not being sick) until you're very sick? Isn't it odd how you never appreciate the little things until you're in an emergency room, wondering what's wrong with a loved one and just how bad it will be?
The latter case just happened to me, and trust me, it's making me completely re-align my priorities and behavior.
