Passion for the Game

Softball's in full swing again (no pun intended) and, in the spirit of "Faithful", I started keeping track of my games, general softball matters, and my thoughts about it all. The referenced book is a detailed log of the 2004 Boston Red Sox season, done by Stephen King (yes, that Stephen King) and another guy, both lifelong Sox fans. Anyway, the point is, as I collected my thoughts on my passion/sport, I realized that it's important to have a passion in life.

Whatever your passion is, embrace it and pursue it. Nothing, I imagine, could be worse than lying on one's deathbed and looking back on decades of life and thinking "gee, I wish I'd done that." The things that are important should be done _now_, and done well...done with passion.
