The People Behind the Greatness
Friday 3 Dec 2004
Sometimes, we see something great on TV or hear
something great on the radio, and enjoy
it...completely unaware of who's the driving force
behind what we're enjoying. With that in mind, I've
come up with three such examples.
-
Jim Steinman - this is the guy who co-wrote many of
Meat Loaf's songs, and produced "Bat Out of Hell" in
1977. I realize that in general, people either love
this music or have never heard it, but nevertheless,
Steinman had a hand in much of it. He also helped
write a number of other artists' hit songs. Learn

-
Glen Larson - this fellow was the driving force behind
a number of television sci-fi shows, including
"Battlestar Galactica", "Knight Rider", "Buck Rogers."
Yeah, they're often cheesy, but they're also
wholesome sci-fi entertainment for the entire family!
He doesn't have a website, but you can get more
information at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0488991/
-
Stephen J. Cannell - this is the man who created,
among other shows, "The A-Team", "21 Jump Street",
"Baa Baa Black Sheep", The Greatest American Hero",
"Hunter", "Renegade", Wiseguy", and "Stingray." He
also works on movies and writes novels now. Learn
