Call me a pessimist, or even a mean person, but I've come to realize that everywhere I go, I can't help but notice stupidity among my fellow human beings. It's not a gift, it's a curse. You've noticed by now that my rants usually identify and comment on the morons of the world.
I don't know why everyone else is so oblivious to stupidity. I've tried to shut it out, to ignore it, to not let it get to me...none of this works. I've found that the only thing that DOES work is to avoid being exposed to the stupidity in the first place.
I have a few friends or acquaintances who have, for years, preferred to remain at home, in their own world, not venturing out except for work, groceries, etc. For many years, I didn't understand this. Now I do.
Hmmmm.
