Softball for me has ended prematurely this year. The county decided to demolish and rebuild the park, a 6-month process that leaves many teams (my 3 included) without a place to play. Understandably, all the other parks in the area are already full with their previous leagues, so barring some miracle, I'm done for 2004. Which is just as well since I'm on the verge of tearing my rotator cuff from throwing so hard, so much.
The upside of this is that I can spend more time this summer and fall with my girlfriend as well as other pursuits, like writing or exercise. I am fairly pleased with two of the three story arcs I've started this year, so I'm having fun writing the new stories.
