I just have to do (what I'm now calling) a "Bright Lands update" episode every so often. I actually can't wait until the region has advanced and is more stable, so that I can shift back to mostly real adventures. It's just taking a long while - as I knew it would. And I'm trying not to rush that process...one of the advantages of doing this without monetary considerations is that I can write at whatever pace I want or need. It's sometimes challenging to balance this with real-life things.
I can completely understand where real-life things take precedence and I really appreciate the fact these stories are still around after 30+ years. I like your pacing and the thought of showing us the building of a new country. It's amazing! Definitely do not rush it.
It's going to be so much fun seeing how Peldor will react to the thieves, freeloaders and never-do-wells that will enter the region. All those soldiers are not a police force. They are for protection of the lands and people, not for petty crimes (and may be or become corrupt). Any jail that will be build, will probably have to be very sturdy, seeing all the magic in the world. Money isn't an issue yet, but may become one if the greatest heist in history happens there. At the very least this will give content and stories for many years to come!
