Hmmmmm.....thats what I have to say on this one.  Hmmmmmmm.....  The
mechinizations of the Circle are always one of those things that can go
either way.  It works as you have it, though.

  A funny thought...the Circle of Eight, in their equivelant of a bar
brawl...broken up by Mordenkainen.  You certainly have the makings for it
here.

What a difficult episode to read (and probably write). Nobody was
happy with anything, and everything was worse off than before, but
it was the council who set things in motion, and didn't go along to
help out, so the council had precious little to complain about. Lots
of good dialogue between the realistic council members, and the
idealistic blatherers. Put up or shut up, dumn fucks.

Er, um, sorry. All in all, I liked the story, although I suspect others
will be less thrilled by it than I.

good job over all. the circle of eight has to remember that it is
basically impossible to get out of the situation the adventurers were
in. on the home plane of a demon lord with his vast armies is NOT an
easy thing to get away from...
